These are views from Shaybah taken while on the bus.

Company Airport-Dhahran

Aramco operates its own planes and terminal.  It is a very nice facility!

Tents & Camels

We have been told multiple times the Saudi's like to camp.  What we don't get is why they choose to do so next to the freeways.  We see tents quite a bit in some really random places.

Jebels

Jebels are large rock outcroppings.  They look like mini mountains. They are limestone formations that are being worn down by the elements. They are seen all over in this region of Saudi Arabia.

Half Moon Bay

The beach closest to Dhahran is Half Moon Bay.  It is also company run so western attire is allowed.  It is a nice beach although I prefer Ras Tanura.  There are not many waves here.

Dhahran Hills Elementary School

The American run elementary school at Dhahran compound is Dhahran Hills.  It services K-5.  The school starts at 7:40 and ends at 3.  Kindergarten gets out at 10:45 for lunch and 1st-5th get out at 11:30.  They all return from lunch at 12:30.  So Kindergarten has a 2 hour lunch and everyone else has an hour that they go home. It is a wonderful school!
