5th Annual Garden & Flower Festival

The 5th Annual Garden & Flower Festival was right in the middle of a horrible schamal!!  These are from the middle of the afternoon.   It was a beautiful set up with world climates being the theme.  They had a section for each climate with back drops.  It was really cool.  They also had a food court, shopping area and awareness area.  In the awareness area were booths for recycling, composting, animal control, water conservation and much more.  It is worth a visit!

Saudi Aramco Bike Rally

This was Saudi Aramco's 5th Bike Rally.  It was a miserable day.  A shamal (dust storm) blew the day before and was still just churning.  The bike rally is always fun.  They have games for the kids, bounce houses, face painting, a live band, vendors and so much more.

Halloween

Halloween is not officially celebrated off camp but it is a big deal on them!  Saudi's come in from the surround communities to trick or treat and hang out.  Here are some of the scenes from Halloween on the Dhahran Compound.

 Block Party Atmosphere.  There had to be at least 3000 there!  They were as far as you could see.

 

Buccaneer Beach Day

Buccaneer Beach Day is held at the Half Moon Bay by the Yacht Association.  It is a day dedicated to kids.  They sold out this year with over 600 in attendance.  They had all sorts of games for the kids with prizes for each.  Every kid came home with multiple prizes.  They had tug a war, surf board races, egg toss, water bucket filling, sand castle building, boat rides and so much more.  They ended the day with a buffet dinner and all you could eat ice cream.  It was a wonderful time for everyone!
