Off Roading

Driving the dunes in a 4x4 vehicle is a favorite past time of many here.  Once out in the desert you are sure to encounter at least a few camels which are always fun to see.

This is me just playing with the camera.  They are all taken on the Dhahran  Compound.

Ringo

We have a wild Ring Necked Parakeet which is part of the parrot family that comes every day.  This one is a male.  They have the ring around the neck the females do not. We are really enjoying watching him!

They have some of the coolest looking birds here.  I have not been able to get pictures of a lot of them but will work on it.

Tents & Camels

We have been told multiple times the Saudi's like to camp.  What we don't get is why they choose to do so next to the freeways.  We see tents quite a bit in some really random places.
