This is a view of Half Moon Bay from the Dhahran compound.  It is almost never clear enough to see it!

 

Buccaneer Beach Day

Buccaneer Beach Day is held at the Half Moon Bay by the Yacht Association.  It is a day dedicated to kids.  They sold out this year with over 600 in attendance.  They had all sorts of games for the kids with prizes for each.  Every kid came home with multiple prizes.  They had tug a war, surf board races, egg toss, water bucket filling, sand castle building, boat rides and so much more.  They ended the day with a buffet dinner and all you could eat ice cream.  It was a wonderful time for everyone!

Sunfish Regatta

The Half Moon Bay Yacht Club Sunfish had their Bak 2 skool Refresher Regatta on Thursday Sept. 8th.  It was a wonderful turnout with over fifteen Sunfish and Topaz boats out.  Who would think these scenes would be from Saudi Arabia.

Yacht Club

These are from the Half Moon Beach Yacht Club.  They are from the larger boats and power boats side.  This is a really nice beach which also has a restaurant at it.

Sailboats

These are from Half Moon Bay's.  They were having a boat race.  They also have some massive jellyfish!

Half Moon Bay

The beach closest to Dhahran is Half Moon Bay.  It is also company run so western attire is allowed.  It is a nice beach although I prefer Ras Tanura.  There are not many waves here.
